Privacy Notice

This notice explains how personal information submitted through the Injevia website is handled in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Responsible party

Injevia and its South African distributor, Veridia Medical (Pty) Ltd, process information submitted through this website for device enquiries, practitioner verification, account assessment, ordering support and related communication.

2. Information we collect

When a healthcare professional submits an application, we may collect their name, practice or organisation, professional email, mobile number, professional registration number, province and the information they choose to provide about their practice requirements.

Basic technical information such as an IP address and submission time may be processed temporarily to protect the form from spam, abuse and security threats.

3. Why we process it

  • To verify and respond to practitioner applications.
  • To provide device availability, ordering and onboarding information.
  • To maintain appropriate commercial and regulatory records.
  • To protect the website and application process from misuse.

We do not use the practitioner form to collect patient clinical records. Do not submit patient names, diagnoses, prescriptions or other confidential clinical information through this form.

4. Who receives the information

Practitioner applications are delivered to Veridia, the local distributor, and may be accessed by authorised personnel who need the information to assess and respond to the application. Information may also be processed by service providers that support secure website hosting and email delivery, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Personal information is not sold. It will only be disclosed where necessary for the stated purposes, where consent has been given, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

5. Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, related business and compliance records, or as required by law. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Subject to POPIA, you may request access to personal information held about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, object to certain processing, or request deletion where the information is no longer lawfully required. Identity verification may be required before a request is actioned.
